This period in our nation's economy has made it extremely challenging for appraisers. By organizing and working together with other grass roots groups and associations, we strongly agree appraisers can play a tremendous part in shaping the future of our profession.

The acceptance as a chapter of the REAA - Real Estate Appraisers Association, a statewide organization, will allow us to assist our members more effectively while combining our resources to address the many issues that affect our industry and community.

Our group started when two appraisers met for breakfast one day and had an idea to bring together local professionals to share work experiences and learn from one another. This blossomed as more and more people became aware of the opportunity to be a part of a local association. It's been over four years since that first meeting and the Victor Valley Appraiser's Association is still going strong.

We realize now more than ever is the time to unite and become involved with our community as well as other professionals, to work together and promote greater knowledge of our industry through education.
